AFRICAN PRINTS LOVE

ANKARA/AFRICAN PRINTS LOVE

Simplicity is the key note of all true elegance {Coco Chanel} …..This is what I look for in terms of buying new clothes and shoes at the end of the day it’s the ultimate satisfaction… right!?

The beautiful scenery…crunchy sounds of dry leaves…warm rays of the famous Mr. Sun and the cool breeze that brushes gently through my let loose hair……. Arboretum is our location today Kenya my motherland very impressing sites……

My outfit for the day is totally custom made by the lovely and talented Dedee Kal Fashions. White pants and peplum top with a touch of Ankara fabric paired it with some Laguna half-boots.

Ankara/African prints is slowly growing on me wasn’t a fan but with time my perception has changed. Well tailor made outfits does you more justice than you can imagine…this particular one can be rocked to outdoor lunch/dinner dates and both formal/informal events etc.

PS

If you’re  planning to get yourself some Ankara outfits work with colors that blend perfectly with your skin tone to avoid clashing or having way too much going on.

My favorite tip,

Remember to always wear a statement piece or just a more fun item to your look.

Fashion has always been a repetition of ideas…but what makes it new is the way you put it together……

Love Ankara let’s appreciate our heritage

Have yourself a lovely weekend…..now won’t you….

Cheers to the weekend

Anita Nderu

What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language “{Miuccia Prada} From her bubbly voice to her exquisite smile….plus she is a multitalented lady and inspiration to many but above all today we get to know a little more about her unique taste in fashion and style….as we chit chat with the beautiful Miss Anita Nderu….

1) What inspires your style? I like to stand out of the crowd and I like being dressed in outfits that boost my confidence because I am shy by nature.

2) How can you describe style? Versatile, dramatic at times colorful

3) What is that one particular item/piece you can never miss in your wardrobe or outfit? Cute shoes (smiles lightly)

4) Ever experienced a wardrobe malfunction? If yes then what was it? Yes like a million times! The worst was my dresses zipper split irreparably before I went on stage to Emcee an award show, we had to send for needle and thread cause there was no tailor open and had to have the dress sewn on me to stay put by my makeup artist.

5) Ever been in an impulse buying situation, and afterwards the item purchased you’ve never really used it? Yes whenever there is a sale I come across I tend to pick a whole bunch of things most of which end up not fitting me (sighs)

6) One thing that you can never ever buy or own in terms of fashion trends….Anything too tacky

7) If you were given an opportunity to ban or get rid of one fashion trend….which one would it be and why? Those T-shirts guys wear that go past their knees. If they wanted to be in dress like outfits they should just wear dresses (laughs hysterically)

8) Any fashion /style secret would you like to share…..fashion advice perhaps…..Shop Online! You get cute unique stuff on sale all the time! (Smilingly)
